Responsibilities:
Perform technical research on complex accounting issues and prepare documentation outlining conclusions, primarily in the areas of revenue recognition and operations accounting.
Prepare 10Qs and 10Ks, along with other SEC filings. Coordinate with legal, finance, and various functions within the Company to draft the financials
Facilitate the disclosure committee
Provide quarterly and annual GAAP and statutory audit schedules, work papers and analysis as required.
Create supporting work paper binders for all SEC filings, investor and audit committee presentations, and press releases for quarterly and annual earnings.
Prepare and update SOX compliance documentation: Build and update SOX documentation
Review compliance audits and track progress
Prepare Summary of Aggregate Deficiencies, recommended remediation plans, etc
Prepare SOX scoping documents
Perform initial research surrounding complex accounting issues and assist with documentation of the Company?s response to these accounting issues.
Perform all aspects of the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process.
Qualifications:
7+ years of combined experience in Big 4 CPA firms and private industry (including 2-3 years of SEC reporting experience).
BS in Accounting, Finance or related field, MBA preferred
Must be proficient in handling multiple complex issues concurrently with the ability to articulate and prioritize based on impact, to align course of actions and execute on timelines
Excellent understanding of GAAP accounting principles with a strong knowledge of SEC reporting regulations and Revenue Recognition
Excellent project management, oral communication, analytical and written skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, organized, attention to detail and desire for continued improvement
Understanding of Oracle Systems (R12 preferred) or other large scale ERP systems
