Imperva is looking for a talented and energetic and experienced Web Applications and Database Security Engineer, Cloud Services Operations, to join the Imperva Professional Services Team, located at our facility in Dallas, TX. Imperva, pioneering the third pillar of enterprise security, fills the gaps in endpoint and network security by directly protecting high-value applications and data assets in physical and virtual data centers. With an integrated security platform built specifically for modern threats, Imperva data center security provides the visibility and control needed to neutralize attack, theft, and fraud from inside and outside; to mitigate risk; and to streamline compliance.
As a Security Engineer, you will be a key part of the Cloud Services Operations group that is responsible for providing Managed Security Services for Imperva customers. You will be working alongside our exceptional team of professionals in Product Support, Engineering, QA and Sales Engineering. As the main point of contact for our Cloud Based customers, you will be responsible for proactively managing customers? security environments, resolving worldwide customer support issues, as well as any other technical issues that may arise within those environments. The Imperva SOC team provides processes, tools and technology, which prevent and manage web security threats, vulnerabilities and incidents. They also provide 24x7 web security monitoring, security events data gathering and incident response while working closely with our partners and customers worldwide.
Assessing the customer's technical environment, planning installations and configurations.
Making proactive steps to constantly improve customers? infrastructure.
Working on escalations with the Support and R&D teams.
On call support every few weeks as needed.
2+ years of Information Security experience.
Experience with web protocols and standards (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, and DNS).
Knowledge and experience with SQL language and SQL based environments is a must.
Experience with databases (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and Data Regulatory compliance (PCI, SOX, HIPPA) is a plus.
Keen attention to detail ? demonstrated understanding and documenting of customer requirements, while managing expectations, and providing excellent customer service.
Excellent problem solving skills with a strong sense of customer commitment.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor?s Degree in a relevant field.
