Security Manager Axeda Corporation

Axeda is seeking an experienced Security Manager to focus on process and technology improvements as part of the Axeda service delivery. This role works within and across all teams, including SaaS Operations, IT, NOC, R&D, Support and Product Development to ensure the overall security of data and systems. This position reports to the VP of SaaS Operations.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop, document and maintain a comprehensive data security plan
Develop, document and maintain security policies and procedures
Assist in the acquisition and deployment of security tools
Conduct periodic internal compliance audits
Coordinate and manages customer audits of Axeda?s systems
Coordinate periodic vulnerability and penetration testing with outside providers
Coordinate responses to client security questions and RFPs
Develop and manage security incident response plan
Lead incident response for security incidents in conjunction with Axeda?s NOC and System Engineering and R&D teams.
Develop and implement Security Awareness Training programs
Assist in corporate initiatives such as total quality management, including but not limited to document management
Perform other related duties as assigned
Technical / Professional Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge and familiarity with ISO 27001, SAS 70 / SSAE 16 compliance requirements and implementation
Strong ability to work individually on smaller projects and be part of a project team on larger initiatives
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical staff at all levels
Must be willing to learn and adapt to technologies outside of current skill set
Advanced knowledge of Linux, VMWare, Web application servers, Java application servers, Oracle database servers and experience with LAN/WAN infrastructure.
Familiarity and expertise with:
Server and workstation security
network vulnerability assessment
Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems
Security Incident and Event Management, Client/end-point security, Identity Management
Malware/antivirus detection/prevention solutions and log aggregation tools
Exceptional analytical, strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to coordinate efforts and deliver results working with individuals of diverse technical responsibilities and reporting lines
Self-starter with ability to accept responsibility for projects and see them through to completion
Flexibility to adjust responsibilities and hours to meet company or customer requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of five years relevant experience in information security, network administration, incident response or IT operations role
