The Security Researcher will be a key team member of the email security research team whose focus will be tracking new trends in the email security field. This position will conduct research on malicious and commercial spam campaigns, analyze and evaluate new threats and develop defensive protections. The Security Researcher brings experience in phishing, spam, botnet research, using it to extend the security research and the detection capabilities of the Trustwave Secure Email product lines. The successful candidate will enjoy the challenge and rewards of the changing landscape of email security.
Requirements:
? Strong background in security
? Programming skills: Python, C#, C/C++ all desirable
? Experience with Windows platform, 2008 Server
? Understanding of internet technologies, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP
? Strong research and analytical skills
? Ability to work under tight deadlines with creativity
? Self-motivated, independent and able to understand complex systems
? Able to work with minimal supervision on a globally distributed team
? Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to tailor technical discussion to various audiences
Additional Plus Competencies:
? Windows development knowledge, C#
? Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related
? Experience with spam or malware research
? Experience with regular expressions
? Experience with spam filtering concepts and technologies
