We seek an ambitious security software engineer to enhance, extend and evolve security mechanisms for Quantcast?s petascale data store.A candidate for this position will be interested in security, big data, distributed systems, and have understanding of availability and reliability of large systems, fault-tolerance, efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities:
Produce scalable security mechanisms. Extend, enhance and evolve security mechanisms for a data warehouse software stack including a distributed file system and mapreduce, as well as other data access/processing mechanisms.
Keep engineers productive through security changes. Keep petabytes of data easy to access, manipulate and analyze while implementing required security enforcement mechanisms.
Lead, don?t follow. Drive innovation and contribute to intellectual property in the area of security of distributed systems and large data warehouses.
Requirements:
Passionate, self-driven
Extensive development experience in data security design and implementation
Experience with cluster data technology such as mapreduce, Hadoop stack
Excellent development skills in C/C++ or Java
Understanding of systems scalability and reliability is a plus
