Etsy is seeking a talented Seller Development Specialist to join our Seller Development team. Our strategy hinges on educating Etsy sellers, and you will be responsible for developing and analysing outreach efforts using various online channels, focusing primarily on email and video. Can you create educational content in an engaging, dynamic and interactive way? Can you analyse seller needs and proactively address them with effective and measurable campaigns? Can you leverage data and insights from previous efforts to iterate on your approach in the future? If you?re also passionate, organized, and entrepreneurial-minded, then we need your skills in this critical role on our team! You must have at least two years of experience in email marketing or in online community education. You will report to our New Seller Growth Manager Kathryn Fink.
About the Team
Part of Etsy?s larger Member Operations Team, the Seller Development Team is at the front lines developing content and programs that empower our 1 million active sellers to successfully run their businesses. We deliver proactive and scalable programs tailored to meet our sellers? needs at various stages of their business growth. You will report to our New Seller Growth Manager and work closely with teammates who help Etsy sellers in the initial stages of their entrepreneurial development.
About the Job
As a member of Etsy's Seller Development team, you will take an experimental and data-driven approach to develop innovative educational initiatives for sellers launching their businesses.
Through strategic research and analysis, you will identify seller needs as they work toward their first sale and lay a foundation for growth.
You will address those needs by developing and testing educational content to be delivered through email, video and webinars.
You will collaborate with our New Seller Growth Manager, data analysts, international and product teams as you build and refine these tactics, and establish the best methods to gauge and track effectiveness.
You will provide documentation and reporting in order to share continual data-driven analysis of your efforts and the indicators for their success?or the need to adapt a different approach.
You?re a strategist and implementer who thinks big and is passionate about education as an effective means of engagement. You can roll up your sleeves and make an awesome impact on our small team right away.
You will be successful in this role if you:
Have at least 2 years marketing experience or experimental online community education
Have exceptional written and oral communication skills
Have an understanding of Etsy voice and policy
Are keen to learn from experiments before scaling
Are proficient with data and metrics and can iterate on approach through constant learning and analysis
Can adapt content, tone, pacing and approach of content depending on the audience
Can facilitate learning of complex concepts through concise writing, exercises and actionable next steps

Have experience as an Etsy seller and/or small business owner
