About the Job
Due to continuing rapid growth, Nexant is adding additional Senior Account Executives to its Sales force in North America. These positions are for Utility focused software and consulting sales, covering multiple North American territories. This role will report to the VP of Sales. The primary function of the Senior Account Executive is to initiate and manage the full sales cycle, selling a suite of utility focused applications and services to prospective customers in collaboration with Nexant's software and consulting delivery teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary job duty is to sell utility focused applications software/solutions and related services to prospective customers.
Establish new accounts and expand relationship/revenue footprint within existing accounts.
Manage sales through forecasting.
Account resource allocation.
Account strategy, and planning.
Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application.
Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition.
Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale.
Contribute individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
Travel as needed.
Qualifications
4-8 years of sales experience in enterprise software in the Utility industry. Experience in Energy Efficiency and/or Demand Response markets, Customer Care & Billing, or Transmission Operations, experience closing large enterprise deals preferred.
Successful sales track record.
Ability to penetrate accounts.
Meet with stakeholders within accounts.
Utility market knowledge and/or knowledge of Nexant competitors.
Experience interacting with C level executives.
Team player with strong interpersonal /communication skills.
Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with prospects/customers.
Bachelor degree or equivalent.
