Job Description:
It is the Senior Account responsibility to drive customer adoption and success of SS8 solutions into their environment. Customer success is achieved by driving initiatives designed to add business value, dissemination of best practices, fulfilling a trusted advisor role, education of product capabilities and engaging in other professional services as necessary.
He/she provides guidance/direction to customers on how to best get value from SS8 products. He/she should possess strong application functional expertise as well as strong sales expertise. He/she will maintain frequent voice and email contact with the assigned customers and will serve as an escalation point for issues that impacts their success. He/she will be required to maintain strong working relationships with other SS8 customer facing personnel in the Sales, Services, Marketing and Product Management teams.
We are interested in speaking to candidates that have been working in account management, sales engineering or consulting for at least 3 years, and have developed a proficiency or subject matter expertise in designing, implementing, and consulting security enterprise class software. This would include hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM. Experience in forensics and general Security Consulting a plus.
Responsibilities:
As Account Executive in the you will be responsible for leading the company?s sales efforts with major service provider customers located in the Northeast, particularly in the Cable market
You will be the company?s key point of contact and business management for all accounts in your territory
You will provide sales account management, coordinate Services deployments, act as a conduit of product requirements to Product Management, and coordinate all pre-sales and post-sales activities relating to revenue within your territory
You will manage account relationships within existing service provider customers, develop new revenue sources based on your past customer relationships, develop new prospects by cold-calling into new customers, and work diligently to build strong, durable personal relationships with all members of the customer?s buying chain
You will successfully manage the customers in your territory to ensure complete customer satisfaction resulting in additional follow-on sales
You will provide regular and accurate reporting of pipeline status to your management and to Finance
Skills:
An ability to hunt and uncover new business opportunities within service provider organizations
An ability to rapidly qualify new sales opportunities, with a track record of closing new deals in short sales cycles and high sales margins
Deep knowledge of and experience with service provider businesses, telecommunications infrastructure, large-scale applications
A demonstrated ability to build strong personal relationships with customer decision makers
A flexible self-starter who can work independently with minimal oversight from management and with minimal assistance from other corporate functions
Requirements:

7+ years professional sales experience in relevant markets
Consistent history of quota achievement with annual W2 income in excess of $250k
Proven success in selling large deals ($250k-plus) to business unit managers in large service providers
Absolute requirement: an existing Rolodex of contacts within major Cable Companies, (Cox, Time Warner) and other service providers located in the region
At least 3 customer references required from major service providers
Deep knowledge of the business dynamics of the telecommunications market and the technologies used within it
Work stability: at least 2 years with each past employer
A desire to impact the bottom-line for a dynamic start-up company
BA/BS a minimum, MBA a plus
