Senior Account Manager (Oil and Gas Industry) EPAM Systems

EPAM is looking for a Senior Account Manager, to head this important business unit. This hire is a key leadership position to build new business and grow existing accounts. We are looking for a strong candidate who will bring a mix of industry experience, domain knowledge as well as superior knowledge of Data and Information Management. As most of our Oil & Gas Clients are located in Texas, this position is Houston based. We sponsor relocation within the USA but prefer a local candidate with an established reputation and history of working in Houston with Oil & Gas clients. A large portion of our business comes from high-end product engineering for Independent Software Vendors (including 3 out of 5 world largest software companies) and leading corporations in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Business Information, Media, Travel & Hospitality, Retail & Consumer, Telecom, HealthCare and Oil & Gas in North America and Western Europe. We build long-term relationships with our clients and as a result over 80% of our current business is repeat business today. It has also allowed us to have very lean organization despite 30% per year organic annual growth during the last ten years. This role reports into the head of North America Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall development of EPAM?s strategy in Oil & Gas business.
10+ years of experience in IT with at least 3+ years in project/program;
10+ management and 3+ years in Oil & Gas;
MS (CS or equivalent);
MBA is preferred;
Experience in planning and managing large programs;
Excellent relationship building, communication, presentation, closing and negotiation skills;
Superior problem solving skills; experience dealing with issues and resources in multiple locations, geographies and time zones;
Strong technical background and track record of successfully completed Application Development, BI/Big Data/MDM, Content Management IT programs engaging 50+ engineers;
Ability to manage, direct and command respect from technical and delivery teams;
Knowledge and experience of working in Oil and Gas Industry is a must;
Experience of multiple full project lifecycles from business development to final delivery;
Deep understanding of Oil & Gas industry proven experience of up-selling and managing large accounts and multi-year deals Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills;
Strong coordination and program management skills;
Technical background and/or extensive experience working with technical teams in the areas of Application Development, BI/Big Data/MDM, Content and Document Management Ability to work independently and also to contribute to a team dynamic;
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets Understanding of IT Outsourcing services landscape is a big plus.
