DescriptionGeneral Responsibilities:
The Cost Accounting and Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate product cost and to develop and optimize product profitability reporting by category and customer. The Analyst will serve as the liaison between IT, Accounting and Finance to ensure that Hyperion and Baan system applications are available to meet business needs and provide ongoing support to enhance Financial Reporting and Profitability Analysis.
Examples of Typical Activities:
Develop and maintain accurate product cost and prepare annual cost roll.
Leverage the BAAN system for efficient financial reporting and analysis.
Prepare and optimize financial and customer profitability reporting and analysis by category with Hyperion.
Support monthly financial close with existing systems and enhance related automated processes.
Support quarterly forecast and annual plan with systemic gross sales and standard cost summaries by SKU.
Prepare monthly inventory and accounts receivable bank reporting.
Assure systems are consistent with GAAP.
.Required Experience
BS in Accounting with manufacturing cost experience; fluent with a fully integrated ERP system and related financial consolidation, budgeting and forecasting and profitability reporting software; with 4 to 7 years of related experience. Working knowledge of BaaN and Hyperion helpful.
Required Technical Competencies
Manufacturing Standard Cost Accounting and Inventory control
Computer Skills: Excel power-user, Fully integrated ERP Experience, and Hyperion Financial reporting.
Proficient in GAAP
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
