DescriptionVersionOne is a 10-year old, fast growing software company in Alpharetta, Georgia. Our accounting and finance group is growing to meet the expanding needs of the Company. We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for various accounting functions in the day-to-day processing of accounting transactions and preparing monthly financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage financial records
Perform and/or direct as required, accounts payables and receivables processes
Calculate and analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Perform various other financial transactions for the preparation of financial statements
Manage the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to management and the Board of Directors
Prepare working papers for financial audits
Provide and implement recommendations for procedural improvements
Monitor and improve the implementation of accounting internal controls
Qualifications:
Reliability
Self-starter
Professional with excellent communication skills
Solid work ethic
Technology interest and aptitude
Analytical to troubleshoot complex issues in accounting
Highly detailed oriented and organized in work
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting policies and regulations (revenue recognition in particular)
Experience:
5+ years accounting / finance experience
CPA designation preferred
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
Experience in software industry preferred
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is highly desirable
Proficiency with using and managing mid-sized financial ERP application
Proficiency with using Intacct and Salesforce.com is desirable
