Senior Accountant Vertafore, Inc.
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant is a vital member of the general ledger team involved in the accounting close, preparation of GAAP and management financial statements, and participates in quarterly/annual audits. We're looking for an individual with the experience and ability to seek out areas which need refinement and improvement, is comfortable working autonomously, and is a self-starter.
The position requires strong hands-on accounting, reporting, business process and controls experience plus excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creating, reviewing, updating, and executing day to day accounting activities
Accounting for equity compensation, facilities and leases, foreign subsidiary and other areas as assigned
Account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency of assigned general ledger accounts
Internal and external financial reporting
Integral part of the month-end close process including financial reporting
Prepare financial presentations for board meetings
Assist in technical accounting research including writing internal memos
Assist with external audits
Special projects as needed

Qualifications And Requirements
Minimum 6-8 years in accounting - combination of industry and public accounting experience preferred
Experience must demonstrate comprehension and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) plus strong research skills to analyze and recommend relevant guidance
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting is required and CPA preferred
Experience with GAAP financial reporting and preparing audit footnotes.
Experience with accounting for international subsidiary including transfer pricing
Oracle experience a plus
Excellent written and oral communication, problem solving and analytical skills, as well as strong attention to detail
Strong technical skills including advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Equity accounting including stock compensation
