Senior Accountant Kalido

Position Summary:

The Accountant is an integral part of the finance group with primary responsibility for general accounting, compensation and US monthly closing activities in addition to assistance in audit support.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting Activities

Responsible for accounting and daily general ledger activity.
Sales order processing under the direction of the accounting manager.
Assist in preparation of cash forecasts and cash flow statements.
Assist with sales/use tax and other tax issues.
Manage and perform sales tax returns, ensuring compliance with local legislation and timely submission.
Lead Support contract renewal process.
Primary responsibility for accounts receivable collections.
Act as primary backup to accounts payable function.
Monthly Closing

Monthly management accounts.
Variance analysis and account reconciliation.
Perform the US month end close process to tight deadlines.
Prepare monthly reporting, reviewing trends and performance against budget, providing value added commentary.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, in accordance with policy.
Understanding of consolidations and FASB 52.
Compensation

Process payroll and sales commissions.
Act as backup to HR administrator.
Audit

Assist annual statutory accounts.
Prepare year-end audit files, liaise with auditors.

Required Skills and Experience:

Two to four years of accounting experience focusing on general ledger and financial reporting in a fast-paced technology company.
BA/BS in accounting, finance or related field is required.
Experience in a global software company is a plus.
Experience with Great Plains, Open Air, Concur and payroll all a plus.
Strong systems experience.
Very strong Excel skills.
