Essential Job Description:
This position performs a variety of accounting work requiring the use of professional concepts. Specific responsibilities include:
Manage, develop, and mentor accounts payable staff.
Review weekly check/wire batches.
Review and approve no-charge orders.
Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts, verify accuracy of data, research discrepancies and correct errors. Inventory accounts include raw materials, sub-assemblies, overhead allocations, finished goods, excess and obsolescence reserves, warranty reserves, etc.
Coordinate inventory observations.
Maintain transfer pricing for intercompany sales to our international subsidiaries, including analysis and documentation of changes.
Maintain standard costs and standard freight and duty rates in the system.
Preparation of certain management reporting packages and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule.
Perform analytic review for all inventory and COGS related general ledger accounts to provide insight to our operating groups and corporate cost centers.
Assist management in establishing procedures and guidelines to ensure GAAP rules/regulations are followed and defined.
Finance Liaison to Operations team.
Various special projects and reports as requested.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications, Experience, Education:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
3 ? 5 years related experience, including cost accounting and supervisory experience.
Skills Required:
SAP experience strongly preferred.
Strong Excel skills required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Excellent investigation, analytical, and problem solving skills
Ability to develop positive relationships and effectively communicate with other departments and all levels in the company.
