Globus Medical, Inc. is a newly public, fast growing and profitable medical device company seeking a bright, motivated individual to join its team!
The Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting will be a key part of our month-end close by managing the consolidation of the US and foreign operations for internal management reporting. This individual will work closely with the US and International Controllers to consolidate multiple domestic and foreign entities, oversee the foreign exchange accounting, and assist with financial analysis. She/he will assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports that are distributed to senior management and the Board.
This individual will also be a key part of the SEC Reporting process, assisting with assembling and reviewing the supporting information for Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K and press releases in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations, including XBRL review and maintenance. She/he will assist with the successful completion of the quarterly reviews and annual external audits.
This position will manage the chart of accounts in the general ledger, lead the on-boarding of international operations onto the US ledger system and integration of new international operations into the consolidation process, and have an integral role in the implementation of new reporting/budgeting software. Additionally, this individual will assist with other duties and projects such as process enhancements, internal controls monitoring, SOX documentation, competitor benchmarking, accounting literature research, and acquisitions, and other duties or projects as required.
The Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting will be a team player and able to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. She must have strong systems/spreadsheet skills, be enthusiastic, positive, even tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, accountability, interpersonal relations, flexibility and maturity. She/he will routinely handle highly confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
Preparation of consolidated balance sheet, income statement, and cash flows and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP
Prepare monthly consolidation and intercompany elimination entries, including the impact of changes in foreign currency exchange rates
Assist with financial analysis and lead monthly internal reporting process
Assist with completing the quarterly reviews and annual external audits
Assist in the research of GAAP and other accounting literature
Assist in preparation of 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC reports
Manage the chart of accounts in the general ledger
Assist with other duties and projects ? process enhancements, SOX documentation, acquisitions and other projects as required.
Bachelor degree in Accounting
Minimum of two years of public accounting experience
CPA is preferable, or significant progress towards certification
Prior SEC experience a plus but not required
Strong functional knowledge of MS Excel
Experience with MAS 500 and/or FRx & Vena report writers a plus;
Ability to work in fast paced environment. Multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities required for successful job completion
Well organized, detail oriented and accountable team player capable of working in a strict deadline dictated environment
Effective communication skills and the ability to understand the needs and requirements of other departments.
