The Senior Accountant will act as primary support to the finance department and is responsible for administration of accounting and financial documentation. The Senior Staff Accountant will also act as backup support to the Human Resources department in various functions and projects.
Primary responsibilities will include:
PAYROLL ( proficiency with ADP OR OTHER PAYROLL SYSTEMS)
Process bi-monthly payroll
Reconcile payroll reports
Create and post payroll entry to ledger
Resolve errors and problems in payroll process in conjunction with HR department
Manage tax issues and reporting for multi-state payroll
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE (proficiency with NetSuite or other accounting software packages)
Creating and organizing customer invoicing
Posting payments against proper invoices
Collections
Detail and summary A/R reporting
TIME SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (Replicon or other time management systems)
Administration of Time tracking system (currently Replicon)
Lead the conversion to new time management system
Custom reporting for departments
Report labor costs by products & business lines for profitability analyses
CONTRACT MANAGEMENT (SalesForce.com or other CRM systems)
Manage the process of closing deals in SFDC
Manage revenue schedules in SFDC
Track & report open items for contracts and invoices
Filing of physical contracts & related documentation
Health benefits reconciliation
Assist with monthly close (journal entries, accruals, etc.)
Work closely with all departments within the organization.
Understand legal documents and how to process/file
Manage communication flow on the respective manager?s behalf; must be able to provide timely
response and follow up
Must be able to identify situations that require immediate escalation
Act as point of contact for all business related issues in the absence of the respective manager.
Completion of any other duties as assigned by the company from time-to-time
Assist with audits (internal; 401k; Workers Comp; Sales tax, etc.)
Other tasks that will be required:
Liaison between banks, and other financial institutions
Point of contact for account management
AP/AR processing and filing
Any other duties assigned by the company from time-to-time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Outstanding communication and organizational skills
Minimum of 3-5 years previous accounting/assistant experience
Experience with Accrual Accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Proficient with NetSuite and/or other accounting software packages
Proficient with ADP or other payroll systems
Proficient with Replicon or other time management systems
Experience with SalesForce.com or other CRM systems
Attention to detail and an understanding of timeline commitments
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to work under deadlines
Strong follow-up skills; ability to see projects through to the end
Ability to understand employment laws and financial business laws
College Degree Preferred
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Ability to multi-task on concurrent projects
