The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance team and collaborating with all departments throughout the business; for the purpose of month-end and year-end close procedures, internal and external audits, management reporting & other projects as identified by management. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Vice President, Finance.
Assist in Financial Statement preparation and management the entire monthly close process.
Prepare month end expense accrual and fixed asset journal entries
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and reporting examining on variances.
Prepare weekly/monthly trending reports of actuals for key areas of the business (example: weekly cash reporting).
Work with FP&A and departmental managers to understand trends to help guide monthly forecasting for the business.
Serve as a backup to the Accounts Payable Manager.
Work with internal management and external auditors in the preparation of audit deliverables.
Detail orientated individual who is well organized and self-motivated.
Proactively identifies potential issues with an ability to summarize for management and propose potential solutions.
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision to accomplish objectives accurately and on time.

BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
3-5 years of Accounting or Financial experience (including month-end close, financial statement preparation and analysis).
Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Public accounting experience a plus.
Experience using Great Plains systems preferred, but not required.
Willingness to work overtime or outside normal business hours as requested by management to meet deadlines.
