About The Role:
Sailthru's Senior Accountant partners with the Controller to analyze the company?s financials, provide resources needed to drive profitable company growth and ensure appropriate accounting processes are in place to help the Sailthru meet its strategic goals. This role is an exciting opportunity to make an impact, gain invaluable operational accounting experience and has tremendous potential for growth as Sailthru continues to scale.
The ideal candidate will leverage his/her analytical skills to prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and help develop an effective system of internal controls to scale with the company. This position will also play a key role in Sailthru's monthly close process, document policies, procedures and workflow and be a problem-solving resource for the organization as a whole. Additional daily responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:
Ensuring proper approval of expenses
Ensuring proper setup of Vendors, including approval, documentation, and ACH implementation
Maintaining T & E management system
Ensuring all supporting schedules are maintained and up to date (Fixed Assets, Prepaids, etc.)
Maintaining Reconciliations of Bank, Credit Card, and other Accounts
Supporting Sailthru's Billing Department by ensuring invoices are entered and issued appropriately in Sailthru's Accounting and Proprietary systems.
Distributing Financial Statements and Budgets to appropriate Sailthru managers.
About You:
The ideal candidate for Sailthru's Senior Accountant role is an experienced, results-driven, highly analytical and detail oriented accounting professional with a track record of success. S/he must have strong communication skills, business acumen and demonstrated the ability to work independently while being a strong team player in both public and private accounting environments. This person should not only be process oriented but also flexible enough to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment. S/he should also have:
4-7 years of relevant accounting experience (initially at a large, public accounting firm and then in private accounting)
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA license (preferred)
Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and SOX requirements
Genuine interest in technology and/or knowledge of the industry
Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
