The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills. A strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines consistently and to work well under pressure is a must. The successful candidate will help create and setup processes from scratch that maintain and/or improve the daily operations within the Accounting/Finance Department. In addition, take initiative to solve or maintain complex tasks that are routinely done. Have the ability to plan, prioritize and complete task without direct supervision. The Accountant is responsible for communicating verbally and in writing with Vendors, Clients, and fellow colleaguesThe position reports to the Controller and the Responsibilities include:
Month end close including accounting for transactions/activities including posting journal entries
Assisting all aspects of accounts payable processing including data entry, reconciling vendor invoices, and ensuring vendors are paid in a timely manner
Assisting with the international expansion of the company
Reviewing and processing Travel & Expense activities
Assist in developing and managing processes and policies from scratch
Preparing Bank Reconciliations
Recordkeeping, document maintenance and organization
Assisting with various ad hoc projects
Requirements include:
Must have highest level of integrity
3-5 years of bookkeeping and/or accounting experience including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable and preparing analyses and reconciliations
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in performing all essential duties
Strong organizational skills & attention to detail and highly motivated/proactive
Ability to deal with high volume transactions
Knowledge and experience with international accounting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced work environment
Experience with accounting systems
Must be passionate about the company
Wants to work in a fast-paced, self-starter environment
