We are seeking to add an experienced Senior Accountant to our expanding Finance & Accounting Team. Responsibilities
- Responsible for Cash Management, AMEX and wire payments, and account transfers Prepare
- Balance Sheet and other G/L reconciliations, including reconciliation of all bank accounts
- Generate journal entries and participate in the Monthly and Annual close process
- Review, reconcile, and prepare monthly accrual entries
- Analyze selected budget to actual reports (T&E, S&M)
- Responsible for monthly AMEX card reconciliations
- Participate with Finance Team concerning A/R and A/P functions
- Interact with customer support and other departments to reconcile billing disputes
- Prepare a variety of financial statements, reports and analysis, timely and accurately
- Participate in the Budget process, producing schedules and forecast reports
- Participate in the Annual Audit, providing selected supporting schedules
- Support Internal Control maintenance and assist in developing sound processes
- Ad hoc projects
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
- Four years + experience in a Media / Internet company is a plus
- Must have experience working with small company G/L, such as Platinum / SAGE or an On-Demand Financial Application software (i.e. Intacct, Netsuite)
- Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills including creation of Pivot Tables and use of SUMIFS and VLOOKUP functions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Detailed understanding of financial statements and key financial metrics and ratios
- Ability to compile, analyze and interpret financial data clearly
- Meticulous attention to detail while still maintaining big picture
- Ability to organize and prioritize workflow
- Highly motivated and a team player.
