Job Description
PlayFirst is looking for a Senior Accountant who will be primarily responsible for revenue and royalty accounting in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will balance a high degree of professional integrity with a fun company culture, and accounting theory with hands on problem solving. This is a full time salaried position and will receive full benefits. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Finance & Analytics.
Responsibilities
Responsible for revenue and royalty accounting, and other accounting operations duties as assigned
Prepare monthly general ledger journal entries and reconcile various Balance Sheet and Income Statement Accounts
Follow up with distributor inquiries and collections
Tax filings with domestic and foreign jurisdictions
Administration of company equity program
Research and correct any errors or discrepancies on a monthly basis
Assist Senior Manager, Finance & Analytics in various projects as needed
Minimum Requirements
5-7 years relevant experience
4 year college degree in accounting and CPA required
Solid understanding of GAAP
Knowledge of and experience with a hosted accounting application such as Intacct or Netsuite
Proficient in Excel and other tools of the trade
Superb reconciliation and tracking skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality and professionalism
Ability to establish priorities, manage work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast paced startup environment
Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
