BioMedix currently has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant who is a highly motivated, professional individual with good communication skills and excellent attention to detail and follow through.
Responsible for oversight and management of core accounting functions at BioMedix by ensuring accurate and timely accounting transaction processing and reporting as well as compliance with GAAP. Plays a leading role in building and maintaining a high performance and professional accounting team.

Essential Job Functions:
Financial planning and analysis
Management reporting
Prepare journal entries
Actively manage and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
Responsible for accurate recording and analysis of Fixed Assets
Prepare, report and remit multi-state sales and usage tax
Assist with annual financial audit
Responsible for a portion of accounts payable
Develop and document effective financial processes and workflows
Understand the role of Senior Accountant, as it relates to the policies and procedures of the BioMedix Quality System
Non-Essential Job Functions:
Prepare documentation in support of external and internal Quality audits
Professional Requirements:
Education: B.A. or B.S. Degree with accounting major
Work Experience: 5 years previous experience in accounting roles
Great Plains experience required
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel necessary
Ability to analyze and solve issues
Ability to build professional relationships with Auditors, Customers, Sales and Operations
Display attention to detail
Able to maintain strict confidence in sensitive information
Must demonstrate a high level of integrity
Able to work in a team environment, and interact effectively with other groups and departments, clients and partners
