Labcyte is searching for an experienced professional to join our Accounting group. Together with our Sr. Accounting Manager, you will take ownership of Payroll, Accounts Payable, and other Accounting functions in this 100+ and growing employee company.
Position Responsibilities:
In charge of semi-monthly payroll process and reconciliations, including Employee Expense reports and monthly Commission.
Working closely with ADP for solving problems, ensure all W2 generated accurately
Responsible for Accounts Payable such as processing vendor invoices, bi-weekly Checkruns, monthly AP accruals and all accounts reconciliations related to AP.
Prepare Year-end 1099s and distribute to all vendors in timely manner.
Maintain and reconcile Prepaid Insurance and other Prepaid Accounts on monthly basis.
Monitor Corporate Credit account and initiate ACH payments as needed
Participate in month-end close activities including the preparation and posting necessary monthly journal entries
Perform monthly Bank reconciliations
Maintain, update and reconcile Fixed Assets on monthly basis
Responsible for the research and resolution of unusual transactions and special accounting projects as required, and will interface with other departments to resolve accounting issues
Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and ensure GAAP compliance and consistency with accounting policies
Understand, develop, and enforce proper accounting practices and controls
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Accounting
ERP systems experience, QAD preferred
Experience with ADP payexpert
Must have recent hands-on skills as delineated in the job description
Team player and solid communicator; strong interpersonal skills including conscientiousness, diplomacy, flexibility, and dependability; maintain confidentiality.
Trustworthy, positive, energetic, optimistic attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves
Strong/current knowledge of US GAAP desired
Understanding of internal controls, accounting processes and procedures
Computer and analytical skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel a plus
