Senior Accountant -Tax and Treasury Vesta

Description:The Senior Accountant-Tax and Treasury is responsible for all aspects of domestic and foreign tax compliance and reporting for Vesta Corporation and its subsidiaries. The Senior Accountant also provides limited administrative support to Vesta?s treasury operations.
As an individual contributor to the Finance team, the Senior Accountant is responsible for facilitating the timely preparation and review of the year-end domestic and foreign tax provision and annual statutory and tax return filings.
This position will also manage intercompany service arrangements to ensure they are appropriately identified, priced, charged and settled periodically. The position will work closely with the Corporate Controller and external service providers to research and evaluate the Company?s global tax strategy and exposures.
A smaller portion of the incumbent?s time will be spent supporting treasury operations. Duties and responsibilities will include opening/closing bank accounts, managing account signatories and maintaining on-line user access and entitlements and related documentation.
The successful applicant will be a self-starter with experience in U.S. and/or foreign tax compliance and attention to detail looking for opportunities to make a recognizable impact on a growing technology company.
Working with a third-party provider, prepare the annual tax provision and footnote preparation. Work with external auditors to facilitate their audit of the provision
Ensure that all state, local and federal tax returns (and estimated tax payments) are completed timely and accurately, working with a third party provider
Analyze Vesta?s state filing requirements, identifying any state nexus issues
Ensure all foreign statutory and tax requirements are met
Manage and coordinate any tax related audits
Identify intercompany service arrangements, work with a third party provider to ensure such services are appropriately documented, priced and invoiced
Participate in and provide feedback on discussions evaluating tax efficiencies domestically and internationally
Maintain appropriate work papers and ensure all support is complete and accurate
Support both book and tax reporting for the Company?s stock option activity
Manage signatory and user entitlements for all worldwide bank accounts
Miscellaneous projects as assigned
Bachelors? Degree and 3-5 years of relevant work experience in tax compliance/FAS 109 reporting
Self-starter in an individual contributor role and effective in a team environment
Flexibility and ability to multi-task and manage various internal and external resources to complete projects assigned
Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communications skills
Advanced MS Office skills particularly in Excel (pivot tables, lookups and macros) and PowerPoint
Ability to work and influence across and with all levels within the organization
