We are moving into a hyper-growth stage, accelerating into new areas of content and growing our Ad Sales / Sponsorship team in New York City. Indiewire, the Webby Award winning daily source for coverage on independent film, Hollywood, and television, and SnagFilms, the fast growing film destination site for online consumers, are seeking a self-starter and team player to manage and grow their ad operations team.
The Role
The Senior Ad Operations Manager will play a key role in defining the strategic direction of our ad operations policies and services. As the leader of our Ad Operations team you will work closely with our advertisers and agencies to deliver exceptional customer service throughout the media buying lifecycle, to include creative management, launch confirmation, and pacing confirmation. This includes providing quality assurance, logging traffic, pulling campaign placement reports, entry of proposals and reviewing the status of campaigns in order to optimize their performance. He/she will also work closely to assist the Ad Sales, Marketing, and Product teams in formulating media plans.
Duties:
Work with the team to schedule and launch interactive advertising campaigns in timely and accurate manner using the ADTECH; as well as other 3rd party platforms such as DART, Atlas, MediaMind, Pointroll, Media Ocean.
Proactively investigate issues (delivery discrepancies, billing disputes, technical issues, etc.) with clients, agencies, and/or internal parties and provide resolutions to these issues.
Work directly with advertisers & media designers to collect creative assets, troubleshoot technical issues, and correctly implement rich media creative.
Test and implement new technologies and advertising opportunities, aid our development team in the expansion across multiple platforms.
Oversee Accounts Receivables, including creating Insertion Orders and working with the Finance team to ensure timely payment from clients and agencies.
Assist in preparation of delivery reports for clients and internal pipeline/forecasting reports.
Reconcile advertising across multiple platforms and partners for billing allocation and accounts payable.
Experience:
Must have two-three years Advertising Operations experience with an outlet or publication.
Related experience at an online media company is a must. Experience with clients in general consumer products or the entertainment industry a plus.
Familiarity with third party Ad Serving Solutions (i.e. DART/DFP, Atlas) and Rich Media Vendors (EyeWonder, Pointroll) is a must.
Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
Familiarity with SalesForce is a plus.
Familiarity with HTML, Javascript, and CSS is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and great organizational skills are essential.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a serious commitment to customer service.
Strong customer service skills with both internal and external contacts.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Photoshop. Problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
