Senior Analyst/Analytics Manager Mindspark

The Senior Analyst/Analytics Manager will support efforts to optimize e-commerce solutions by ensuring proper data is collected; accessing and analyzing data to reveal trends and outcomes; effectively communicating findings across the organization; and by integrating key lessons into organizational processes.This position will initially be an individual contributor role, reporting to the Director of Yield Optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop an intimate understanding of the APN data environment ? data collection, data sources, key elements, data accessibility
Support key business initiatives with analytics and insight, acting as a quantitative consultant on projects
Create reports and ad hoc analyses as needed
Develop appropriate models for forecasting key outcomes
Articulate findings in the relevant context within the organization
Support Optimization team initiatives with needed analysis
Experience, Skills and Education
5+ years relevant experience with analytics in internet media and/or e-commerce, marketing, finance
Data analysis/manipulation skills:
o Excel ? strong proficiency required
o Tableau ? report development and analysis
o SQL ? able to retrieve data via SQL queries, as needed
o Other business intelligence or statistical analysis tools would be helpful
Statistical knowledge:
o General understanding of statistical concepts and context ? ability to evaluate strength and relevance of a particular trend or finding
o Statistical models ? regression and trend analyses
o Means testing ? able to identify the appropriate tests and develop confidence intervals.
Financial knowledge
o Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial models
BA/BS in related discipline ?Business, Finance, Economics, Social Sciences. Advanced degree a plus.
