THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The 451 Group is an independent technology-industry analyst company. Our research makes sense of swiftly moving trends in the information technologies (IT) used by large and midsized organizations. We have offices in the US and Europe.
We seek a senior analyst to work within a team focused on the colocation, managed infrastructure, network services, cloud services, IT Services, and application services markets. Our focus initially will be on the UK, France, DACH and Benelux markets, though the team will collaborate with multiple other 451 analysts covering other geographic markets and service offerings.
451 Research delivers value to its customers (and to a certain extent, the industry at large) from multiple perspectives and via multiple channels. Types of analysis include (but are not limited to) technology and technology innovation; competitive analysis of individual suppliers and the eco-systems they form; exploration of macro market trends; insight both of and for the ?end user?; market sizing and forecasting; M&A analysis; financial analysis; interpretation of compliance and regulatory factors; etc.
Insight is delivered via published reports in multiple formats; proprietary datasets; survey analysis; analyst inquiry; professional service engagements; webinars; company conferences; third party conferences; interaction with partners and the press.
?Write research reports in both short and long form on a regular basis.
?Develop and pursue a significant and detailed understanding of the markets and technologies assigned.
?Lead and participate in strategy sessions, webinars, and Consulting engagements
?Support sales activities to grow business
?Submit session, panel, and workshop submissions in response to conference Call For Paper processes.
?Attend suitable conferences and meet with vendors.
?Prepare for and conduct counsel calls and webinars with clients.
?Participate in other 451 research and service delivery as assigned.
Education and experience:
Most 451 Research analysts come from a background as a practitioner, vendor, consultant, researcher, analyst, or technical journalist. The expectation is that this will be the equivalent of five to ten years of working in the fields covered, accompanied by an undergraduate degree or four years? additional professional experience. Strong writing, communication and people skills are a must.
