The senior analyst would take primary responsibility for all editorial content related to 451 Research?s daily and periodic M&A content, including long-form reports, in-depth analyses of breaking transactions, analytic briefs, database content and social media outreach. Duties would include writing analysis, conceiving and coordinating production of reports, collaborating with 451 Research's extended team of more than 50 industry and M&A analysts, clarifying financial questions related to transactions both in-house and for clients, as well as developing new coverage ideas. The ideal candidate would bring a solid network of contacts, and be resourceful in cultivating sources to provide insight on M&A strategies and valuations of acquisitions of private companies.
Applicants must demonstrate a thorough understanding of all public company financial statements (balance sheet, cash flow statement, P&L) along with familiarity with the capital structure at private companies. Additionally, the position requires a deep and broad understanding of the information technology sector and, of course, superior writing and editing skills.

At least five years of experience in business or finance coverage of the IT sector?- Thorough understanding of public- and private-company finance

Education and experience:
This position requires sufficient educational or work experience to have obtained expertise in the industries and technologies being covered. Most 451 Research analysts come from a background as a practitioner, vendor, consultant, researcher, analyst, or technical journalist. The expectation is that this will be the equivalent of five to ten years of working in the fields covered, accompanied by an undergraduate degree or four years? additional professional experience. Strong writing, communication and people skills are a must.
