SENIOR ANDROID APPLICATION SYSTEMS ENGINEER Belkin Corporation
What you?ll do
As a Senior Android Application Systems Engineer, you will work with a team of developers and designers to bring great products and ecstatic user experiences to life in support of multiple business units & product families. You must be able to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines while leading a team of local as well as offshore developers throughout the entire PDLC. You will be working on products in the consumer electronics, mobile applications, and energy conservation spaces.
How you?ll do it
Expert (SME) in current as well as near future Android mobile & tablet platforms primarily covering the Android ecosystems.
Expert in Android hybrid applications using native Java and HTML5 (frameworks such as Apache Cordova and PhoneGap etc.).
Able to assess and lead technical design, feasibility, planning, coordination and partner/vendor selection.
Intimate knowledge and hands on experience with the Android SDK (Honeycomb, ICS, Jelly Bean etc.), it?s libraries, multiple Android platforms and their individual nuances, marketplace submission in?s and out?s, etc.
Expert in architecting the Android application to support cross compatibility across wide variety of phones with wide variety of Android versions and carriers.
What you?ll need
Knowledge of upcoming platforms in Android.
Passion for researching new trends and technologies in the mobile platform space.
Experience coding apps that meet accessibility standards.
Experience coding globalized mobile apps that work smoothly in multiple languages and other localization requirements.
Experience designing and developing apps that access cloud resources.
What you?ve done
Proven experience with the management and responsibility over technical execution of the full SDLC of mobile apps and mobile app enhanced products.
Ability to roll up the sleeves and jump right into development, troubleshooting, etc. as needed to help the team succeed.
Expert in Android development environments and associated tools.
Great communication skills both written as well as verbal required.
Must be capable of collaborating with business leaders, customers, and product design and management teams as well as engineering staff.
Passion for high quality design for products that are both usable and cool - should be able to work efficiently alongside both creative and application development teams.
Passion for ecstatic user experiences and the highest quality standards.
