What you?ll do
As a Senior Application Engineer, you will complete design, development, testing and support activities of moderate to high complexity related to Belkin?s business and/or web applications. Complete changes or projects in conjunction with Business Analysts, other Application Engineers and internal customers. Demonstrates strong knowledge of the tools, technologies, procedures and business concepts relevant to their Application Area. Demonstrates proficient analytical, troubleshooting, and design skills. Works under minimal supervision and is able to identify and prioritize sub-tasks within assigned priorities. Works cohesively with vendor, contract or outsourced resources on projects or support related work.
How you?ll do it
Work with internal customers and business systems analysts to develop, document and refine requirements. Build appropriate times lines and coordinates cross functional teams. Guide them through the process and help them understand what solutions are possible and are most advantageous.
Translate business requirements into technical design specifications that might cross application lines and require integration.
Utilize applicable application configuration and development toolsets to build, configure and/or test solutions that follow design specification and meet business requirements.
Understand business drivers for a given project. Make suggestions and proposes solutions that optimize development cost with business benefits.
Perform unit, QA and/or load testing where applicable. Write test scripts, define test data, and think through boundary conditions and code paths. Testing should be comprehensive and cover all aspects of an application ? performance, security, usability and end-user experience.
Demonstrate and/or develop a strong understanding of regional business, systems, policies and procedures while ensuring one's own work contributes to the organization's strategic goals.
Develop solutions that adhere to a strict level of security. Customer and company data must be protected at all times and appropriate coding or configuration should be followed to protect security of data
Must be able to work under minimal supervision and assists other Application Engineers with task management.
What you?ll need
4+ year?s experience developing Java/J2EE applications
Preferred background in the Hybris multi-channel suite, including having exposure to the full development cycle
Preferred experience with the Hybris PCM, WCM, B2B and B2C eCommerce, mobile, advanced security, order management and customer service modules or similar modules from other packaged software vendors

Estimate the work-effort for their own tasks and takes responsibility for on-time delivery for their tasks.
Utilize direction or guidance provided by Principal Application Engineers or Managers.

Demonstrate project management skills at a level to develop detailed project plans, obtain and confirm resources, and track completion of tasks against the plans for multiple simultaneous small-to-moderate complexity projects or enhancements.
Make recommendations for and implement proactive improvements in overall system architecture and design related to Application Area.
Troubleshoot problems that arise while debugging issues with their own code.
Provide first and second level support, ensuring that the issues are clearly understood before proposing or implementing solutions. Log all customer problem calls and e-mails, work with external vendors, document support actions, and update status information into the IT service ticketing system.
