What you?ll do
As a Senior Application Engineer within the Warehouse Management Applications Team, you will design, develop, test and support moderate to highly complex applications related to Belkin?s distribution business. Complete changes or projects in conjunction with Business Analysts, other Application Engineers and internal customers. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the tools, technologies, procedures and business concepts relevant to Belkin?s application workspace. Demonstrate proficient analytical, troubleshooting and design skills. Work under minimal supervision and be able to identify and prioritize sub-tasks within assigned priorities. Work cohesively with vendor, contract or outsourced resources on projects or support related work.
How you?ll do it
Understand business requirements and translate into technical design specifications.
Utilize applicable application configuration and development toolsets to build, configure and/or test solutions that follow design specifications and meet business requirements.
Understand business drivers for a given project. Make suggestions and propose solutions that optimize development costs and business benefits.
Perform unit, QA and/or load testing where applicable. Write test scripts, define test data and think through boundary conditions and code paths. Testing should be comprehensive and cover all aspects of an application ? performance, security, usability and end-user experience.
Demonstrates and or develop general understanding of regional business, systems, policies and procedures while ensuring one?s own work contributes to the organization?s strategic goals.
Develop solutions that adhere to a strict level of security. Customer and company data must be protected at all times and appropriate coding or configuration should be followed to protect security of data.
Provide complete support to end users; ensuring that the issues are clearly understood before proposing or implementing solutions. Log all customer incidents inclusive of calls, emails and document support actions into the IT Service Desk ticketing system.
Clearly communicate with all resources (including non-technical) and customers utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What you?ll need
4+ years of technical experience implementing and supporting Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management for Open Systems or similar Warehouse Management System.
Strong technical knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL required.
Solid technical knowledge of HP-UX / Linux operating systems, including shell scripting required.
Experience with operational reporting through Crystal Reports and/or Business Objects required.
Experience with MS Office VBA, MS Windows Server 2000+, SQL Server 2000+, AIMS and/or Precision P2009 considered a plus.
What you?ve done
Bachelor?s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field of study.
4 ? 8 years of practical experience.
