Job Responsibilities:Administer and manage a 24/7 Sync-ML based wireless services application environment.
Maintain and configure internally developed wireless applications.
Develop automation via scripting in Shell, PHP, or Python.
Provide technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience for Java-based applications.
Participate in periodic on-call duty as well as out-of-band requests.
Provide server designs and configure and install servers and storage.
Troubleshoot and resolve application server problems using Tomcat and Apache.
Provide system service problem resolution for issues identified by Customer Care and Network Operations Center.
Help develop, improve and test FusionOnes incident response procedures.
Provide solution requirements to develop and extend monitoring tools for devices under management.
Help design new technical solutions and then implement those solutions.
Identify all security issues with regards to networks under management and respond to those issues accordingly.
Work within a defined a Change Control process.
Coordination and oversight of maintenance and changes to the production environment.
Develop and update processes and procedures.
Coordinate documentation efforts.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, identify/resolve technical issues, and guarantee that we have timely security information that will help protect all FusionOne systems.
Help to ensure that products and services meet FusionOnes overall security objectives.
Provide data and statistical information upon request in relation to system and security activities.
50 travel.
Technical Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a large-scale, high-traffic web serving or wireless applications Linux environment.
Strong experience working with CentOS and /or Red Hat Linux, AS and ES.
Strong Experience with VMWare ESX 3.0.
Direct experience with Java, J2EE and JSP.
Direct experience with Apache, Tomcat and other Java servlet and application servers platforms.
Experienced in server and storage design, operational support, hands-on implementation and configuration of server infrastructures.
Knowledge of SyncML, BREW, and other wireless protocols and technologies highly beneficial.
Knowledge of load balancers and Squid Proxy servers.
An understanding of cabling standards, IP address management, VPN, Firewall, load-balancing, network security, and network management platforms.
BS in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Ability to develop network architecture and documentation using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
