Operators around the globe are relying on Ubee-AirWalk?s technology to extend their wireless network into homes, offices and other high-demand locations. The diverse product line consists of licensed CDMA/LTE femtocells and enterprise femtocells, as well as unlicensed 4G WiMAX/LTE modems and routers. Ubee-AirWalk, a subsidiary of Ubee Interactive, Inc., is a privately held company based in Richardson, TX.Ubee-AirWalk is seeking a lead senior architect for its LTE eNodeB platform project. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the detailed technical requirements and supporting the development of a generic eNodeB product platform. Supporting activities may include analysis of system level and functional requirements, articulate and document software architectures, software component vendor analysis and implementation recommendations, and technical support, including standards interpretation, for in-house hardware & software development teams.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and energetic individual. Prior experience in a start-up organization is a plus. He/she must have in-depth knowledge of OS platforms, development methodologies, and deployment and support mechanisms. The candidate must be familiar with 3GPP/3GPP2 RAN standards for LTE, LTE-A and HRPD. He/she will be a high impact individual contributor, an innovator, an independent thinker, and a technology visionary who can contribute to the development of the company?s patent portfolio. The successful candidate will demonstrate communications skills sufficient to influence and collaborate effectively with the Ubee-AirWalk software and hardware development teams. This position is based in Richardson, TX and will require 0-20% domestic travel and possible international travel.
Responsibilities:
?Provide technical support to the eNodeB product development teams
?Drive common technical requirements and design for product features & functionality
?Convert technical requirements into detailed design requirements
?Define and document software product architectures
?Research and interpret standards requirements for development teams
?Develop criteria to support integration w/ 2G-3G services and related products
?Provide technical input and co-authorship of key documentation
?Provide technical guidance & oversight of inter-vendor certifications
?Provide technical leadership to eNodeB product performance testing team
?Seek out and document unique solutions to support intellectual property submissions
Skills & Qualifications:
?Must have a solid background in software development with experience in multi-tasking real time software product architectures
?Familiarity with hardware and software integration issues, including RF products
?Demonstrated wireless telecommunications technology leadership is preferred
?Demonstrated ability to provide collaborative technical guidance among team members, vendors and clients
?Experience with embedded & real time OS porting, BSP, boot ROMs, and device drivers?
?Experience working in a lab for software troubleshooting, builds, IOT, certifications
?Familiarity with wireless air interface standards such as 3GPP, 3GPP2, WiMAX
?Excellent communication and documentation skills
?Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
?BS or MS in computer science or electrical engineering
?5-7 year?s relevant experience
