Senior BI Consultant Project Leadership Associates
DescriptionProject Leadership Associates (PLA) is currently recruiting an experienced Microsoft BI Senior Consultant to join our Business Intelligence Practice Group. This position will be responsible for the following:
Design, development, testing and deployment of Microsoft BI solutions for PLA clients across a number of industries and functional areas. Installation of BI products, conducting Proof of Concepts and demonstrations during sales efforts may also be required. Occasionally responsible for gathering business requirements, designing the BI architecture and daily project management.
Requirements include:
4-6 years consulting background
Ability to learn new concepts and software quickly
Analytical approach to problem solving
A passion for learning new technologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as good time-management and organizational skills
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts, specifically designing and populating normalized data warehouses and star schema based data marts
SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2 technical experience required:
o Analysis Services
o Reporting Services
o Integration Services
Experience preferred:
o SQL 2012 Business Intelligence features, including Power View, Tabular Models, etc
o SharePoint and SharePoint integration with PerformancePoint Services and Reporting Services
o PowerPivot
o Microsoft BI certification
o Familiarity with database centric applications, such as Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, etc.,
