Athletes? Performance currently has an opening for a Senior Brand Manager. The position will be responsible for a wide range of brand building activities: brand positioning, product & service marketing, trade marketing, experiential marketing, communications, and direct report management.
This individual will garner significant experience in a fast growing, entrepreneurial environment that requires propensity for action and an enthusiasm for helping people get healthier, perform at their best, and achieve more in life.
We are trailblazing a new category and are looking for results-driven and visionary Brand Messiahs across our Brand Marketing, Communications, and Creative Excellence & Marketing Services teams to be part of this ride in building our brand.
The position will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities (What does success look like?)
Strategery: support the development and implementation of brand strategic vision, goals and plans to build the Athletes? Performance and Core Performance brands.
There?s no ?i? in team, but a ?we? in awesome: work with cross functional team to develop and execute programs, develop ideas, and share in the success of the team.
Lover, not a fighter: build brand love and awareness among relevant stakeholders.
Tap into your right brain: develop strategy and creative briefs for creative projects while managing agencies and internal teams to ensure messaging and creative are consistent with brand strategy
Marketing Skills: demonstrated ability to formulate brand positioning, brand architecture, storytelling, and design to drive business results and brand equity.
Ear to the ground: keep abreast of consumer and industry insights to develop more powerful innovations, communications, and programming.
Read the tea leaves, don?t just report the weather: analyze market trends, syndicated reports and consumer research to identify market opportunities, support business growth, and be able to interpret and drive results based on insights that make you go hmmmmm.
That rug really tied the room together: develop innovative and integrated marketing communications across a variety of stakeholder touch points. Champion the brand positioning and brand voice, to make sure our brand experience is all coming from the same place.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Marketing concepts: knowledge of and ability to apply basic marketing concepts (e.g., brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, marketing objectives/strategies, consumer segmentation) used in the development of marketing plans
Creative concept evaluation: ability to assess creative concepts and executions based on creativity, strategic alignment and consumer impact
Marketing research application: ability to leverage research results into actionable marketing and business building initiatives
Brand equity: knowledge of procedures used to drive increases in brand equity
Brand positioning: knowledge of specific brand positioning and brand architecture
Product marketing: ability to effectively generate awareness, engagement, and advocacy for new products and services across range of b2b and b2c stakeholders
Marketing property/program customization: ability to customize, communicate and apply a marketing program based on the specific needs of a particular stakeholder
Brand marketing strategy: knowledge of information used to define brand strategic corridors and develop appropriate business solutions for activation
Integrated Marketing Communications: drive consistent brand experience across all touch points with our brand voice, brand story, brand ambassadors, and visual identity system.
Ability to simplify complex systems: strong knack to simplifying technical language and acronyms into clearly defined people speak that?s relevant to both businesses and consumers
Strong strategic thinking, creative thinking, team leadership, collaboration, and problem solving skills. oh, and a great attitude is a must as well
Results focused, with examples to prove it

4+ years of classical brand marketing experience
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred (we wouldn?t knock a PHD, DDS or MD either)
