Under general direction acts as the liaison between the applications development team and the business users to identify, assess, and document business requirements, analyze the impact of proposed solutions across the organization and develop use cases that explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to the development team.
BS or BA degree
3 years of business experience, preferably in information technology or Operations
Experience in working with ERP applications in the Order to Cash area
Experience in process improvement and process redesign; preferably having prior experience as a
business or systems analyst
Prior management experience with a desire for continued growth is a plus
Experience with some or all of the following Oracle Modules is preferred: Oracle Purchasing, Oracle iProcurement, Oracle WIP, Oracle inventory, Oracle ASCP, and Oracle Order Management
Able to understand business concepts and translate into detailed functional requirements
Grasps technical concepts quickly
Proactively manages issues and activities and can prioritize well
Strong communications and effective presentation skills
Familiar with the Oracle AIM methodology
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and works well in a team environment or as an
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint; and experience with project
work plan software (Microsoft Project) and diagramming software (Microsoft Visio)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Business/Functional requirements and documentation:
Documents business requirements
Manages and assists with the development of process and applications documentation as well as organizing of information
Ensures changes to the requirements are approved and documented
Assists project managers in managing scope.
Develops functional requirements for the Oracle ERP and OBIEE reporting solutions
Attains sign-off from the business users on requirements and ensures the applications developers can translate the requirements into systems specifications
Testing and training:
Structures and leads the user acceptance test effort to ensure the applications match the business requirements
Occasionally assists with developing and delivering training
Project planning and management:
Assists in the creation and management of project plans
Takes the responsibility for successful delivery of limited aspects of the project
Provides supervisory guidance to the Documentation & Training Specialist and ensure individual is meeting objectives.
