Author Solutions is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst for our Corporate office in Bloomington, Indiana.
The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between the IT development group and the rest of the business. They are required to have a deep understanding of the functions of the internal systems, the business processes that are in place, and how those two things converge. The Sr. BA partners with the business for new system implementation and existing system modification to ensure that the business objectives are being met and implementations meet the desired goals without unwanted side-effects. The primary responsibilities include defining and supporting projects and reporting needs of the organization through requirement elicitation, technical documentation, testing, and training.
Position duties include but are not limited to:
Requirements gathering and documentation
Elicit requirements to create process flow documentation
Elicit requirements to create user story requirements documentation
Create acceptance criteria with the project team to define test cases
Elicit requirements to create user tests requirements documentation
Responsible for maintaining all user stories and supporting materials
Document and coordinate business creation of test scripts for use in testing cycles
Document release notes for use in training
Document deployment plans for project delivery
User Acceptance testing facilitation
Document and coordinate test scripts for use in testing cycles
Lead user acceptance testing with business users for technology projects
Research and triage user issues uncovered in testing cycles
Research and review application issues
Serve as liaison between technical team and business in issue resolution
Test resolved issues and coordinate final UAT

Primary duties should be completed daily.

Interaction with the executive and leadership team.
Daily interaction with employees and managers.
May have communication with others in the company across all departments.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor?s degree preferred.
3 or more years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or related work.
Ability to gather, refine, recommend, and document business and application functionality requirements.
Experience working with/for a software development team a plus.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or comparable programs.
Excellent problem-solving ability
Ability to work and communicate well with interdisciplinary teams, customers, and stakeholders.
The Sr. Business Analyst reports to the Global Director, Program Management. The core work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with frequent flexibility for start and ending times. Additional hours and/or overtime may be required depending on position and needs of the business.
