Conduct business problem/needs analysis and assist VP of Product in defining high-level scope for project proposals.
Assist Product Owner/Business in management of Product Roadmap and Product Backlog, as needed.
Ensure the development of complex information systems or revisions to existing system logic to meet business requirements and objectives.
Ability to lead requirements definition and design sessions through use of interviews, surveys, user workshops, product / prototype demos, etc.
Translate stakeholder requirements into various documentation deliverables such as functional specifications, use cases, user stories, workflow/process diagrams, data flow/data model diagrams.
Work with business owners to prioritize features based on business value.
Work closely with UI designer and project team on clarifying requirements, and analyzing tradeoffs between usability and performance needs throughout the project lifecycle.
Create and manage project plans and generate time estimates for project related tasks.
Provide leadership and training to Business Analyst I & II and assist in coordinating business analyst tasks.
Analyze reported defects against documented specifications and provide additional information to support issue resolution.
Proactively work to identify, communicate and resolve project issues and risks that interfere with project execution or success.
Incrementally verify requirements through user acceptance testing.
Education, Skills and Experience:
College or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, or information systems
5+ years work experience, preferably as a Business or Systems Analyst in an IT environment using Agile methodologies
Expert knowledge of SDLC and experience in an Agile environment required.
Excellent verbal and written communications.
Experience working in an iterative software development environment where a flexible personality and approach is required.
Demonstrated familiarity with Agile development processes. Ability to coach peers and business owners on Agile practices and adoption.
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
Demonstrated use of project management skills in Agile methodology to drive projects from requirements to on-time, on-budget delivery.
Ability to serve as an effective communication bridge between business and technical staff.
Must have strong facilitation skills and experience facilitating workshops with large groups.
Must have strong experience in elaborating user requirements in User Stories and Use Cases.
Should be highly proficient in Excel, Visio, Word, MS Project
Experience with Jira (inc. Greenhopper), Confluence, and other Atlassian products a plus.
Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certification a plus
