Job duties include:
Liaise with account staff, front office and back office staff to gather business requirements. Provide accurate analysis of issues with appropriate solutions to meet customer requirements. Configure the application to represent the customers? business and functional requirements. Provide creative and practical solutions to facilitate client processes and smooth project implementation. Create and manage business requirements and functional specifications as part of the customization process. Provide planning, documentation and execution of supporting test cases. Plan, perform and document testing of new and existing functionality to requirements. Provide functional and operational analysis and review to identify interim solutions to compensate for systems gaps resulting from the lag times from when business products, accounting requirements, MIS information changes are first identified and introduced. Guide and educate the client on the systems reporting capabilities and application interface to the General Ledger (GL). Drive client focus to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects. Deliver training to clients.
Requires a Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, plus five years of experience.
Five years of experience in requirements gathering, system and process issue research, development and testing in large banking and corporate environments.
Experience with front office functions, including trade booking, FX, Money Market, Securities and derivative products.
Experience with back office operations, including confirmation and settlements.
Experience with product control and financial control functions involving PL valuation, risk, price and position data.
Five years of experience providing front-to-back functional and operation analysis to customize financial and risk management systems for front office, risk, account, and back office functions to support business re-engineering initiatives.
Five years of experience in system development life cycle on financial system implementation projects, including project planning, system analysis, requirements definition, systems design/workflow, implementation, integration testing, user acceptance, installation, deployment, maintenance and remediation.
Five years of experience in developing MIS reporting?accounting, risk, profit and loss and APIs to consolidate and distribute data to downstream systems.
Experience in defining workflows and procedures.
Experience in the development of conversion and implementation strategies.
Experience in development of automated query programs, including SQL.
Requires occasional travel to client sites
