The Senior Business Development Analyst has primary responsibility to assist sales as the ?door opener? for new business in our target market. The Senior Business Development Analyst will identify new opportunities and drive new prospect introductions through both direct and indirect methods such as cold calling, working in conjunction with marketing to develop lead generation activities and will work closely with the sales team to coordinate and communicate opportunities and their statuses.
Roles and Responsibilities
The essential responsibilities of the Sales Business Development Analyst are to.
? Generate/Cultivate leads through existing network, prospect outreach, and creative go-to-market strategies
? Perform outbound lead generation activities including calling on multiple senior level contacts within the targeted companies to develop ongoing relationships, knowledge of prospect purchasing plans and strategies
? Address and manage incoming inquiries with the goal of transforming inquiries into sales opportunities
? Assist in the qualification of prospects to develop sales opportunities
? Set up remote and on-site demonstrations for Connecture solutions with new qualified and repeat prospects as required.
? Update senior management in a timely fashion of all significant events and lead generation activities with which Connecture is involved
? Update the Sales Automation system with lead information
? Collaborate on the development of key target account lists
? Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing marketing activities that generate qualified sales leads ensuring that consistent company image, message, and positions are maintained in all activities.
? Constantly evaluate program results and strive for quality and efficiency in lead generation.
? Stay current with the insurance industry environment
? Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and sales lead generation programs.
? Experience in the development of quality marketing materials is a plus. Knowledge of our product offerings, technology, delivery capability and product roadmap
? A strong working knowledge of the challenges facing our prospective carriers, healthcare reform and competitive issues and how our offerings can be leveraged for success.
? Professional, assertive, and skilled in forming new relationships
? Familiarity with targeted list management
? Preparing for sales calls, including coordination of the team selling effort
? Experience in establishing new/developing existing industry/market contacts to enable success
Experience in and/or knowledge of the health insurance industry
? Effective time management and prioritization skills
? Strong organizational/interpersonal skills
? Ability to meet deadlines and goals
? Excellent written and oral communication skills
? Ability to be self-motivated and work independently
? A BS/BA Degree
? 5-10 years in a related field in the health care industry; health insurance preferred
? Strong computer skills (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM Programs)
