Position Summary:
The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organization?s next-generation Data Warehouse, Master Data Management, data integration, and reporting / analytics solutions. The Sr. BI Architect will work closely with other BI team members to utilize innovative solutions that improve business processes, promote the strategic use of information technology, and enable the clients to use technologies in a self service manner. This individual will support the adoption of enterprise-wide information architecture standards for master data definitions, data management, enterprise integration, and warehouse design and development. The Sr. BI Architect will be a true technologist with the ability to design and deliver solutions that solve key, cross organizational, business problems while understanding where those solutions fit into the overall roadmap and business landscape.
Essential Functions (in order to be considered for this position, the individual must be able to perform essential functions listed below):
Provide a senior-level contribution to a team responsible for the design, development and implementation of mission critical business intelligence applications of enterprise scale on a multi-terabyte environment.
Design and development focus includes but is not limited to: dimensional data model design, ETL/ELT frameworks and processing, metadata management, operational data integration, master data definition and data quality, data auditing and profiling, and business intelligence reporting solutions
Play key role in internal/cross team meetings, requirements gathering, scoping, decision making, technical standards, and documentation
Translate high-level requirements into well designed solutions that meet the business and technical goals defined by business and engineering stakeholders
Design, develop and optimize ETL data transformations to propagate analytical data from operational systems and other sources to the data warehouse.
Design, develop, and optimize enterprise level reporting, OLAP, and other business intelligence solutions, and train others in the use of the tools.
Work with organization to develop data governance program and play key role in ensuring adherence to standards
Develop and implement engineering process rigor, development standards, and supporting platforms
Provide accurate level of effort estimates and delivery plans for technical projects and initiatives
Debug and troubleshoot database performance and data quality problems

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields; or equivalent work experience
8+ years of development expertise within a dynamic BI environment
5+ years of full lifecycle data warehousing, ETL, Reporting & Analytics architecture experience
Sound understanding of Relational Database concepts, Data Dictionary Usage and Maintenance, Data Attributes, Cross-References & Identifiers, Data Hierarchies & Relationship Types and Data Cleansing methods
Experience logically and physically modeling data optimized for reporting and aggregate analysis, specifically Ralph Kimball Dimensional Modeling methodology
Experience managing large, complex data warehousing environments using MS SQL Server or other enterprise level RDBMS
Strong background in data hygiene, quality, and matching/consolidation approaches and technologies (i.e. DataFlux, Business Objects Data Quality)
Advanced skills in MS SSIS, or other enterprise level data integration solutions, MS Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and MDX expressions or other enterprise level business intelligence solutions Experience in maintaining and optimizing the physical database structures, stored procedure, functions, triggers etc
Experience with at least one major source control solution
Full lifecycle Master Data Management and Data Governance experience a plus
Qualifications:
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills - should be able to identify and resolve performance issues involving complex code
Ability to work with senior director level leadership
Strong business and/or technical analysis background
