Senior Business Intelligence Designer Axiom Law
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Axiom, a revolution in the legal industry and one of the nation?s fastest growing private companies, is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Designer for its San Francisco office. This role will be a key point of contact for the company to design and implement dashboards, reports, and metrics as well as drive usage of business intelligence tools. The Senior BI Designer will be responsible for understanding and supporting the business intelligence needs of their business partners, anticipate and evaluate problems, and drive on-going improvements to Axiom?s intelligence environment.
Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Manager, the Senior Business Intelligence Designer will:
Design and develop reports using the reporting tools/inter faces of the component applications of Axiom?s cloud-based ERP ecosystem (Workday, Netsuite OpenAir, and Bullhorn) in support of the following functions: recruitment, CRM, matter resourcing, project management, accounting, payroll, human resources, and talent management.
Design, develop, and maintain Axiom?s data warehouse-based reporting environment inclusive of data architecture, modeling, reporting, and dashboards.
Develop ETL processes integrating with web services APIs in support of data warehousing.
Work with business and operational groups to define requirements as well as develop analysis, reports, dashboards, and metrics as business needs dictate.
Perform requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and quality assurance of delivered work within the context of a defined software development lifecycle and change management processes.
Develop and maintain solid, professional partnerships with business units whose business intelligence needs and functions you support.
Produce analytical metrics utilizing MDX, time series, and other math intensive processes
Develop complex, optimized SQL queries that are efficient across large data volumes.
Analyze, streamline and drive improved efficiencies.
Measure, validate, and report on the quality and integrity of data.
Maintain production schedules and timely delivery of reports to the business.
Train business partners/users in the use of delivered tools and reports as well as collaboratively develop & inculcate best practices.
Work in establishing and act as a key member of Axiom?s data governance group.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum of seven years of related post-graduate work experience
Excellent quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills.
Ability to write and debug complex SQL. Strong knowledge of SQL DDL, DML, DCL, and TCL domains. Experience with Transact-SQL a plus.
MDX multidimensional and analytical development experience a plus.
Extensive experience developing in one or more business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Business Intelligence Development Studio, Business Objects, or Cognos.
Extensive experience in design, development, and documentation of extract transform load (ETL) processes using data integration tools such as Microsoft SSIS, Data Stage, or Data Integrator. Experience in developing ETL processes sourcing from web services APIs a plus.
Experience in integration with common web services protocols such as REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON a plus.
Software development & programming language skills a plus.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including compex formulas, pivot tables, graphing, and external data sets sourcing a plus.
Comfortable presenting insights to both executives and development ideas to technical colleagues.
Ability to work as a member of a team, lead specialists, manage all aspects of projects, and provide consultancy & support to users.
Ability to succeed in fast paced environments at a high-growth company; comfortable with tight timelines; possessing a sense of urgency.
Ability to find creative solutions to problems combined with a willingness to do what one must to ensure timelines & goals are met.

Ability to quickly master technical as well as functional complexities & nuances of diverse applications & technologies in support of Axiom?s enterprise application reporting environment.

Headquartered in San Francisco, the role may require periodic travel to other Axiom sites. Some after-hours / weekend work will be necessary to minimize the impact of changes to your end users and to ensure project timelines are met.
