THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development of the novel optical catheter devices for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
Technology development, product design and development, test of materials or products, preparation of specifications, process capability studies, validations, process documentation, research investigation (animal and clinical studies), and report preparation.
Plans, develops and designs catheter instruments, components and procedures.
Designs new applications and performance standards for catheter products and processes.
Provides design support to manufacturing and sustaining. Recommends and implements modifications and corrective actions when appropriate.
Works on projects, which involve intensive, diversified knowledge of engineering principles in broad areas of assignments.
Supervision is typically related to overall objectives and policy matters.
Carries out projects with high degree of creativity, utilizing lower level engineers and scientists on complex projects.
May evaluate the feasibility of projects and counsel others about aspects of projects related to his/her specialized knowledge.
May train and/or provide work direction to technicians and engineers.
Drafting of test plans and protocols used for verification and validation.
Statistical analysis of test data.
Returned Catheter Complaint Investigations.
BS or greater in related engineering degree
5+ years of medical device development experience
Experience with plastic part design, materials, injection molding and extrusions is beneficial.
Proficient in 3D CAD and Drafting (preferably SolidWorks Modeling).
Experience developing coronary catheters within ISO 13485 standards.
Experience in manufacturing process development, validations and qualifications
