Job Summary
Identropy is looking for an experienced, results-oriented, highly motivated infrastructure engineer with expertise in cloud and big data architecture, to join its core engineering team building and deploying the next generation of identity management products. Working as part of Identropy?s product development team, you will help design, build and run the cloud environments, deploy tools and software to support a SaaS infrastructure that will power Identropy?s SCUID offerings.
You will have operational and strategic decision making responsibilities, both making strategic technology decisions, evaluating infrastructure technology options as well as managing Identropy?s Cloud infrastructure.
You will help make key decisions regarding network, server and data architecture, schemas and security controls to support the SCUID product platform.
As part of the team developing the product, you will help in the development, maintenance and administration of cutting-edge automated deployment tools for seamless software and infrastructure updates.
You have both the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced Agile development environment as part of a dynamic, creative team.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will:
4+ years of enterprise IT experience including monitoring and tuning multi-tiered server infrastructures
2+ years working with cloud infrastructures, such as AWS and Beanstalk
2+ years of software deployment and systems architecture experience
Be able to build and debug deployments with support from the developers
Experience defining security strategies for end-to-end application infrastructure and hardening application infrastructure
Experience in architecting distributed, highly available, high performance, scalable Java-based applications
Have working knowledge of Java based server technologies (Tomcat, JBoss, etc) and be able to profile and debug Java server performance problems
BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or comparable industry experience
Experience designing and implementing mission critical Enterprise solutions, considering HA, DR and business continuity. Familiarity with load-balancing, dynamic DNS and other HA technologies
Knowledge and work experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Xen, KVM and public cloud resources such as AWS or Rackspace Cloud is a plus
Proven technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience
Understanding of web services API security will be ideal
Experience working in a SaaS environment or start up space is a plus.
Excellent problem solving skills
Strong communication skills ? written and verbal
Familiarity with Scrum Agile Methodology is a plus
