As a key member of the Aircell?s engineering team, the Senior Compliance Technician will be primarily responsible for maintaining Aircell?s semi anechoic shield room.
The Senior Compliance Technician will maintain equipment calibrations for equipment used within the chamber, conduct tests for internal customers and generate test reports.
Additionally, the technician will assist with customer setups and troubleshooting as necessary in the lab. You will also be responsible for maintaining other in-house DO-160 test equipment including but not limited to temperature and humidity chambers, ESD generators, power supply test fixtures and RF generators.
Maintaining the Aircell EMI lab including but not limited to test scheduling, testing, report generation, maintaining equipment calibrations, lab performance verification.
Building and integrating new test tools used for compliance related testing.
Maintaining current calibrations for all DO-160 test equipment utilized in the Certifications Group.
Create accurate test reports based on in-house testing
Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
7+ years Engineering Technician experience.
Experience in the Avionic industry as well as FCC regulations and certification schemes is a must.
Skills and Experience
Knowledge of Avionics DO-160 and FCC test methods.
Thorough knowledge of the following equipment: analyzers, receivers, meters, power supplies, antennas.
Labview programming is desirable.
Proven experience writing compliance reports.
Ability to obtain security clearance at various outside test labs.
Experience with wired and wireless IP networks.
Experience working with telecommunications products.
Experience testing avionics telecommunication and RF devices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
EMI troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, fix or mitigate device failures.
Ability to manage all aspects of a fully RTCA DO-160 EMI lab.
