GlassHouse Technologies is looking for a Senior Consultant in the field of Backup/Disaster Recovery. The Senior Consultant will be a member of our North America Consulting Team, and will lead consulting engagements, working closely with the customer to evaluate environment improvements and provide recommendations. Senior consultants will prioritize these based on time-frame, potential benefit, level of effort required, and external dependencies, as evaluated by an assessment. An ideal candidate is able to communicate effectively with both the customer and the consulting team, and has hands-on experience working with backup technologies and designing, implementing, and managing backup systems.PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to quickly understand and interpret customer problems and to navigate complex organizations.
Ability to effectively present and communicate to both technical and business audiences.
Experience supporting large-scale deployments and performing integration work through multiple product releases.
Possess strong organizational skills with a healthy sense of urgency and able to set, communicate and meet aggressive deadlines.
Ability to identify short, medium, and long-term implementation efforts, and to identify ?quick wins.?
Ability to determine resources requirements and hardware dependencies
Ability to develop a precedence plan for implementation in the subsequent stages.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proactive team player with ?hands-on? experience with backup technologies (including archival and recovery), storage, disaster recovery, and ITIL.
Strong, subject-matter expertise administering, designing, implementing, and monitoring backup systems including NetBackup
Strong business and technical acumen, recent experience as a consultant, specifically with large customers and managing enterprise projects
A broad background in technical infrastructure, including servers, networking devices and security
Minimum of 3-5 years in professional services and support roles for enterprise IT
Bachelor?s Degree (Computer Science or similar)
Ability to travel extensively (75% domestically)
