SENIOR CONSULTANT, DATA STORAGE SERVICES: US-BASED/NATIONWIDE HIRING GlassHouse Technologies, Inc.

GlassHouse Technologies is looking for Senior Consultants with technical expertise in data storage. In this exciting position you will be a Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in storage technologies and oversee the definition and development of storage options, strategies, processes and necessary activities for assigned client engagements. In addition to possessing a deep technical background in storage (EMC, Hitachi, NetApp, IBM, HP, Dell, etc.), you will have extensive professional services experience within IT infrastructure consulting, as well as previous accountability at the senior technical director-level or above. Candidates may be based out of any major metropolitan areas and must have the ability to work remotely and to travel to customer locations as required.

Mandatory Technical Qualifications:

Experience designing, implementing and managing storage, and backup technologies.
Ability to travel extensively (75-100)

Additional Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent degree plus applicable work experience
Ability to document storage and backup best practices, methodologies, and cost models
ITIL certification preferred
Management experience
Backup and UNIX administration experience

Responsibilities:

Develop customized solutions that address specific needs, and the successful management and/or delivery of engagements
Develop in-depth understanding of a client's business requirements, along with client's current data storage environment; assess and make recommendations
Develop, promote and follow engagement methodologies
Document best practices, methodologies, and cost models
Document current state, future state and proposed roadmap between both states
Evaluate and architect storage operations, policies, and procedures to drive strategic storage, SAN, and backup initiatives.
