SENIOR CONSULTANT, MIDRANGE SERVER SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS: US-BASED/NATIONWIDE HIRING GlassHouse Technologies, Inc.

GlassHouse is hiring hands-on technical architects with Midrange Server subject matter expertise to join our team. Key skills include architecting, designing, estimating, costing and implementing server solutions for enterprise customers. Senior Consultants will have experience working with customers to define & document solutions and possess prior experience overseeing the hands-on deployment of the solutions architected. Ideal candidates will possess expertise in enterprise midrange servers (including AIX, Solaris, Linux, and Windows). Candidates may be based out of any major metropolitan areas and must have the ability to work remotely and to travel to customer locations as required.

Mandatory Technical Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent degree plus applicable work experience.
Experience designing, implementing and managing storage, and backup technologies.
Extensive professional services experience within IT infrastructure consulting.
Ability to document storage and backup best practices, methodologies, and cost models.
Management experience.
Backup and UNIX administration experience.
ITIL certification preferred.
Ability to travel extensively (up to 75).





Responsibilities:

Provide server technology subject matter expertise to clients and oversee the definition and development of server architecture solutions, strategies, processes and operational activities.
Develop in-depth understanding of a client's business requirements, along with client's current IT infrastructure environment; assess and make recommendations.
Develop customized solutions that address specific technical and business needs.
Document current state, future state and proposed roadmap between both states.
Successfully lead and manage the delivery of engagements.
Develop, promote, follow and leverage best practices and engagement methodologies.
Evaluate and evolve operations, policies, and procedures to drive strategic/technical initiatives.
