We are growing dramatically and are increasing the size or our Professional Services organization. We are seeking a dynamic experienced Professional Services person who is interested in being part of the xMattersteam.
Description: This experienced consultant is responsible for performing consulting services for the deployment of xMatters relevance engines. Facilitates the process design and deployment components of a consulting engagement from beginning to end, resulting in a functioning implementation and a satisfied client. Plans, manages, and delivers day-to-day consulting work on-time and within scope. Estimates accurately the level of effort to complete the activities and maintains current and thorough technical expertise on the xMatters products. Communicates regularly and builds a trusted advisor relationship with the client and technical team. Seeks out other consulting and sales opportunities throughout the engagement duration. Strives to improve xMatters by taking on initiatives to better the company and the Professional Services organization.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Principal Responsibilities:
Build a solid advisor relationship with the client and technical team
Fulfills consulting activities for clients of xMatters, post sale, by performing the day-to-day activities of each engagement, including client management, implementation, and knowledge transfer activities
Determines and implements the technical solution, including architecture design, that best meets the clients' needs in the time available
Maintains technical Subject Matter Expertise on the full suite of xMatters products and surrounding technologies
Provides strategies beyond technical activities, including deployment planning, client adoption and enablement.
Exceeds client expectations
Deliver beyond clients needs where applicable
Establishes agreement for realistic and achievable goals
Leverages opportunities to deliver beyond established expectations
Identifies opportunities within each engagement for a broader use of the xMatters product to create enriched client experience
Maintains an awareness of clients business needs
Seeks out individuals and departments who can leverage xMatters
Builds long term roadmap for continued success at the clients
Conducts post deployment health checks
Shares knowledge and experience to improve xMatters
Indentifies areas of improvement with solutions
Publishes content from client experiences, education activities and lessons learned
Time Allocation:
80 % Engaged on client projects
10 % Building personal knowledge and sharing expertise with xMatters colleagues
10% Administration activities
Up to 80% travel
Qualifications / Necessary Skills:
5+ years in Professional Services
3+ years managing client relationships
2+ years Java programming
ITIL certification desired
Excellent verbal & written communication for both technical and business content at all levels within an organization
Proven expertise in developing and deploying technical solutions
Strong time management and organizational skills
Strong problem solving & analysis skills (i.e. the ability to translate client requirements & objectives into a technical solution)
Ability to work independently with a high degree of integrity and accountability
Technical experience in the following:
JavaScript
HTML & Web page development
XML
Data transformation
Unix Administration (Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, Linux)
Windows Administration
Databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 )
Education:
Bachelors Degree required
