Gilt Groupe is looking for a senior copywriter to join our fun, progressive, rapidly growing e-commerce team. This person will help maintain and drive the voice of the Gilt brand. The senior copywriter will report into the Head of Creative while working as a member of the Creative team to conceptualize campaign and create on-brand messaging for all Gilt assets.The copywriter will partner with marketing, social, editorial, business development, and public relations teams.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualize campaigns.
Maintain copy guidelines to ensure consistent representation of the brand?s voice.
Have a strong point of view and how copy can improve both the brand and the user experience.
Collaborate with partners in Creative, including the Editor and Art Director, web designers, production team, and print designers.
Maintain and evolve the voice of web communications with a focus on advertising, promo boxes, banners, dedicated emails, special projects, and Gilt?s evolving social media platforms.
Conduct read-throughs of site pages and marketing campaigns.
The candidate will possess?
Informed appreciation for design and fashion.
Ability to convey the emotional appeal of a luxury product.
Exceptional writing, rewriting, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
Superior communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile, highly creative environment with priorities occasionally fluctuating.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience writing/proofreading copy for a luxury retail brand.
Bachelor?s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or work experience in e-commerce, advertising, direct marketing, or promotion.
Strong portfolio of writing.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to keep abreast of copy trends, campaigns, and fashion trends.
Social and digital media savvy.
Experience at a luxury brand or advertising agency preferred.
